Visit The Humber Bridge
One of the things we definitely wanted to do when we visited Hull was to check out the Humber Bridge for ourselves. It was absolutely spectacular.
The Humber Bridge is the longest listed structure in the UK and it used to be the world’s longest single-span suspension bridge when it opened, holding the record for a fantastic 16 years. The amount of wire used in the bridge could go around the Moon six times.
If you are ever in the area, do check out the Humber Bridge – it is amazing to see.
Explore The Deep
The Deep is a spectacular building to look at. It is one of the UK’s biggest and best aquariums and is also one of the most spectacular aquariums in the world.
Booking online is advisable to save some money. What I find great is that once you’ve bought your ticket for a visit, you can return for free again within a year – what a great way to ensure families keep coming back!
With over 50 displays and over 5000 species, The Deep is wonderful to visit. They reinvest all money made into research, conservation activities and new exhibits.
It is easy to spend many hours in The Deep as there is plenty to look at. Car parking is available at a cost of £3 for six hours but the car park machines are cash only so try to remember to take some change. If you do forget your change, however, you can go to the main desk and pay by card.
Discover The Dinosaurs in Hull
If your children love dinosaurs and you’ve got some time to spare, Dinostar – The Dinosaur Experience is worth a visit. It is Yorkshire’s only attraction, it’s interactive and fun.
It is a fairly small attraction so doesn’t take too long to go around but there is plenty to do. Admission costs £3 for adults and £1.50 for children and senior citizens. Beware though, it is only open every Saturday and Sunday and some school holidays.

I love all kinds of bridges, and love being able to go on them. The Humber Bridge is a very impressive bridge, to say the least! My kids and I would love to take a look around Dinostar too!

I like the look of The Deep. I love visiting aquariums to see the different fish and other aquatic wildlife.

I’ve got friends who live just outside of Hull but we’ve never been to visit. These sounds like great places to explore with the children.
